What services do you provide?

Services include personal care, homemaker services, companion care, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, laundry, bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility assistance, safety supervision, transportation assistance, errands, respite care, PASSPORT waiver services, Medicaid home care, and private-pay home care.

Do you provide PASSPORT waiver services?

Yes, we support eligible PASSPORT participants. Please contact the office to discuss authorization, care needs, and next steps.

Do you work with Medicaid members?

We support Medicaid home care needs, including eligible clients connected with Medicaid managed care plans. Eligibility, plan participation, and service authorization may vary.

Do you accept Medicaid managed care plans?

Contact our office to discuss your current plan. We can review whether Doctors of Hope is currently able to serve your plan and what authorization may be needed.

What if I am not sure how my care is funded?

That is common. Call the office or submit a consultation request and include your insurance, waiver, or plan information if you have it.

Do you accept private pay?

Yes. Private-pay care is available for families who want flexible home support paid directly by the client or family.

Does Medicare pay for this type of care?

Medicare usually has limited coverage for non-medical custodial care. Families should contact Medicare, their plan, or our office to discuss their situation.

What areas do you serve?

We primarily serve Franklin County and surrounding Central Ohio counties, including Delaware, Fairfield, Licking, Madison, Pickaway, and Union.

How quickly can care start?

Start dates depend on care needs, schedule, location, funding source, and caregiver availability. Contact us to discuss your timeline.

Can care be scheduled part-time?

Yes. Care may be arranged around approved hours, private-pay needs, caregiver availability, and the client’s routine.

Can caregivers help with bathing and dressing?

Yes. Personal care may include bathing assistance, dressing assistance, grooming assistance, mobility support, and safety supervision.

Can caregivers give medications?

Caregivers may provide medication reminders as appropriate, but they do not prescribe medication or replace licensed medical professionals.

Can caregivers help with meals?

Yes. Meal preparation and basic kitchen support can help clients maintain nutrition, hydration, and routine.

Can you provide respite care?

Yes. Respite care gives family caregivers time to rest, work, travel, or manage responsibilities while their loved one receives support.

How are caregivers selected?

We look for caregivers who are dependable, respectful, compassionate, able to follow care instructions, and willing to complete agency screening, onboarding, background checks, and required training.

What should I prepare before requesting care?

Helpful details include the client’s name, phone number, city or county, funding source, services needed, preferred schedule, and the best time to call. Please do not send Social Security numbers, Medicaid or Medicare numbers, detailed medical history, diagnoses, or medication lists through a general website form.

How do I apply for a caregiver job?

Visit the Careers page and use the Apply Now section to send basic application details to the office. Applicants may be asked to complete screening, onboarding, background checks, training, and credential review.
